Questions

Are there any hidden charges?

No! We guarantee you will have no unpleasant surprises, everything will be explained, in advance. All yachts we offer are comprehensively insured, licensed for charter, all taxes paid.

What if I have to cancel my trip?

Cancellations more than 30 days before your charter start: your deposit will be applied to another date to charter the current season or to the next charter season on the same boat. When rescheduling, your deposit will be applied to your next charter. If you do not exercise your charter that same season or the end of the next season, your deposit and/or balance will be forfeited.

Cancellations less than 30 days before your charter start: your total payments (deposit and balance) will be forfeited. If we can rebook the dates previously reserved, we will refund accordingly less a 10% processing fee.

If you reschedule your charter and have to cancel a second time, your deposit and/or balance will be forfeited.

Note about weather: as an outdoor activity the potential for inclement weather is always present and will not be considered a reason for canceling or rescheduling a charter. We will not make exceptions to this cancellation policy for any reason which is why we strongly suggest purchasing trip insurance through a reputable trip insurance company.

What is a Security Deposit?

A yacht’s Security Deposit amounts to the excess in her insurance policy, covering loss or damage to the yacht or her equipment. This amount is refundable and is notified for every yacht we offer. Return the yacht (and her equipment) in the same condition as you took her and your Security Deposit will be refunded in full. The cost of rectifying any damage or loss will be deducted and the balance refunded. Normal wear and tear is excepted.

May I clean the boat myself and waive the $150 Cleaning Fee?

Am I responsible for damage?

You are responsible for any damage or loss to the bareboat during the term of your charter in excess of the insurance deductable. This liability applies even if you hire a captain as he is considered your employee, not the company’s. Insurance does not cover damage caused by extreme negligence. Examples of extreme negligence include sailing into prohibited areas, sailing after dark (unless permitted), and operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
